✈️ Spitfire Restoration Update
Earlier this summer, we shared our plans to carefully clean Thornaby's iconic Spitfire as part of our commitment to preserving this important local landmark.
Following the initial cleaning work, it became clear that a simple clean alone isn't enough to restore the aircraft to the standard it deserves.
We're now taking the next step by seeking specialist restoration expertise and exploring funding opportunities to support a full professional restoration.
We know how much the Spitfire means to our community, and we're committed to finding the right solution to help preserve this important piece of Thornaby's history for future generations.
We'll continue to keep you updated as the project progresses.
