Arms and Crest of the former Thornaby-on-Tees Borough Council

Thornaby Town Council has been successful in having the Arms of Thornaby-on-Tees Borough Council transferred by Royal Licence to the Town Council.

Thornaby Town Council now have the authority to bear and use the Arms and Crest granted and assigned unto The Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of the Incorporated Borough of Thornaby on 23 January 1893.

The transfer was awarded on the 23rd March 2010, notification of the transfer was publicised in the London Gazette on Wednesday 21 April 2010.
